All of these places are so close you can actually plan to visit more than one in a leisurely day. The roads are good and even fun to drive as you wind through scenic country anxious to see what is around the next bend. The last traffic light you will see is as you leave Battle Ground, so enjoy the
open road.
Battle Ground is a great place to begin or end your journey with a number of tiny towns dotted along the way.
The Explorers Map will allow you to find out more about
the entire area, including Amboy, Battle Ground, Dollars Corner, Fargher Lake
& Yacolt and the
amenities they offer. Many have "micro" webs built into this web site so that you can learn even more.

Depending on how you may start or end your
journey, Battle Ground Lake State Park is a popular outdoor attraction
including overnight camping facilities. It is just a few miles from Old
Town Battle Ground heading North up Grace Street. It is hopeful that
someday the BYCX Railroad will once again come by this beautiful park. |

Beginning from Dollars Corner just to the
west of Battle Ground, you can travel just a couple of miles up NE 72nd Av
to Day Break Park. This park has entrances on both the east and
west side, with the east side being the main entrance. The west side is
primarily a boat launch facility for "small" boats. |

From the main intersection of Hwy 502 &
503 in Battle Ground, you may head north for barely over 2 miles to reach Lewisville
Park. It is actually larger in Grounds area than Battle Ground
Lake State Park. This is a great park with all the amenities including
large covered picnic eating area's. |

Just east of Pomeroy House is Lucia Falls
Park continuing along Lucia Falls Rd. This park is a day use park only
but is certainly worth a stop to enjoy the scenery and the falls. |

Moulton Falls is located only a few
more miles continuing east on Lucia Falls Rd. It is a more popular park
with 2 parking areas with an awesome foot traffic bridge spanning the
river. The BYCX Railroad is anticipating two types of trips to visit this
park by train. |
